7:48 --- 158.463 km/h -- Porsche 997 GT3 RS, 415 PS/1424 kg (sport auto 03/07) http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?viewThread=y&gID=0&fID=2&tID=120285
, same lap time as the 997 GT tested by sport auto last year, so the difference between the GT3 and GT3 RS is just a margin, 16 kgs weight reduction doesn´t make a big improvement
... but you can see some improvement at the Hockenheim short track:
1:11.1 --- 131.817 km/h -- Porsche 997 GT3 RS, 415 PS/1424 kg (sport auto 03/07) www.supercars.net/PitLane?viewThread=y&gID=0&fID=2&tID=120285 1:11.6 --- 130.726 km/h - Porsche 996 GT2 (04) 1:11.7 --- 130.544 km/h - Porsche 997 GT3, 415 PS/1440 kg (sport auto 07/06)

verdict:
the RS doesn´t outperform the GT3 but what else did you expect? Both come with the same engine, except of the fly wheel, even though Porsche made some efforts to close the gap between a super sports car and a street-legal race car, it takes an experienced driver to discover the slight difference between these two. The driving dynamic of the GT3 RS is unbeatable with 77 pts it scores the hishest points in the sport auto Supertest ever, same as the GT3

Nuerburgring times are sometimes testicle limited.
Yes I realize that.....
My question is do they actually reverse the names of the seasons. I.E. is winter hot or do they call it summer.

It's too heavy. 1425kg is getting up there for a stripped out race/road car. Needs to lose 200kg's IMO.

This is an awesome car, even if the performance gains are minimal. That said, bring on the F430 LP!

Quote from KING KLOSE so why spend more bucks for the RS ,if even a professional can't drive it faster than the GT3?
It is made to be able to compete in the GT championships.
