Dude you are the most uniformed man on earth where do u come from saying that the viper cant handle GT3? Since everyone on this site seemes to use the times from mags to prove a point considering that these cars are mostly above there and my financial means, then ill tell you that the 2000 Viper ACR i belive it was held the record for the slalom in motortrend mag untill very recently. Not to mention that the current Viper SRT-10 out handles the Ford GT ok look that up on a respected site or mag and you will see. Dumb Ass

maybe because ive DRIVEN a viper? not to mention ive also driven a 911 and 911 GT2.

they handle completely differently. the viper lacks feel and control. it has gobs of grip yes, but has a total lack of refinement, not to mention the rear end steps out at the drop of a hat.

and slalom times give you only a rough picture, not to mention they dont tell you anything about the feel or control of the car.

Cats are so awesome. I'm going to have a huge carpeted room full of carpeted pillars of various heights & painted as buildings. Then I'll fill it with my many cats & let them rule the city. Then once a month I'll dress up as Godzilla & pack myself full with catnip and invade- WCW 1. I have one of the most beautiful county ever, with everything except electronic/modern things 2. If you have ever read anything about Caucasia youd know how independent culture/language/everything we got. And we/cristians were sorounded by Arabs/Turks/mother#$%#ers/musulmans for 20 centuries and were fighting with them day/night for 20 centuries long 3. You are mess of french/Spanish/you dont even know who. Your grnadmother were eating babana on the tree when your grandfuther #$%#ed her and were borned yourmother. At this time we had our alphabet, 1 from 14 independent alphabets in the world4. You are a 22/25/whatever year old squirrel and rabbit without any #$%#ing personality 5. kle xar.

Phanofmuzik2 ... Well I've driven both as well and I've tracked both Turbo 911 as well as Vipers and I'd say you're pretty far off. Mainly because you probably didn't know how to drive a Viper.

"THeres a reason michael (or was it mario?) andretti said the viper was one of the most dificult cars to drive on the plaent."

Did you actually read the article? He posted the FASTEST time above the Ferrari and Porsche in the Viper. Then said he didn't like it. Could it be hmmm ... his family has worked for Ferrari for 3 generations maybe?

Let me say this again ... he posted the fastest track course time in the Viper. That means it handles well, not because I say it or someone else says it .. because the fastest driver in the world took 6 of the best handling cars in the world on the same track and posted the FASTEST time in the Viper.

As far as the Porsche, etc ... I love Porsche and think it's the best all around sports car, even above the Viper, mainly because you can drive them every day and never get tired of them. But that said the Viper is as fast and as good handling as the Turbo Porsche according to every magazine out there. As far as handling and track times .... well Viper has won every division it's entered. Including recently taking the World Drifting Competition with Samuel Hubinette.

I totally agree with you that the Porsche and Viper handle differently, but that's simply because of the way they're designed. Front engine vs rear engine. The real test is the track times ... and as far as that goes Viper can hold it's own with almost ANY car.

How do I know? ... well I've raced an F50, Lambo, and Ruf Porsche ... and I know how they all handle.

And the last comment I have to add is YES these cars can last for quite a while. I bought mine new and while most people track their Vipers or garage them I use mine every day .... thus the odometer 8-)

PS: The pictures are from a group of race friends that got together for a fun lunch.

"Im sorry but anyone car knows that the viper is not one of the best handling cars on the planet. Read your post your post. You sound stupid." LOL. Samuel Hubinette is the world Drift Champion, and he gets his status in a Viper. It has a win or 2 in most major racing events held around the world, so it MUST be that crappy handling that makes it perform so well! I mean seriously, you need crappy handling to outperform a Ferrari. It's almost essential to the cause.

Of course it was a joke you tard, lol. Most people who don't like Vipers have some twisted form of respect for it and can only post every negative comment they can to make it seem like it's not as good as they know it is. The other one is the undying hate that Euro car lovers have, who bash anything that isn't European (I'll get my $1,500,000 hand-built CLK-GTR made exclusively for track racing to beat your crappy Viper!!!), pretty much the same way American car lovers do with domestics (My Viper kan beet yer MacLOren F1z0rz!!!). It's so ridiculous how people STILL can't respect all cars and understand that they all have strong and weak points. You'd think that after all the years this site has been active that the morons could reach an understanding.

I think the main problem that is causing issue here is that some people might be stuck on the assumption that this Viper is like the Vipers of old. I.E. would suffer from the massive weight of the engine at the front.

Another thing likely to mislead people is that to the common driver it would be an extemly difficult car to drive. But to an experience/trained racing driver it probably is quite good.

Not the biggest fan of the car.....but I'd take it if someone gave it to me . And for sure it has made massive steps to brings it handling to the level of some of the more renound competition from Europe.
