here are a few vipers that i pulled off www.dodge-vipers.com that are all tuner vipers but all kick ass.
Doug Levin Stage IV Viper: hp: 1175hp torque: 1150 ft lbs 1/4 mile: 10.1 secs
GIWASA Viper GTSRR: hp: 1200 1/4 mile: 8.0 secs top speed 240 mph
Hennessey Venom 1000TT: hp: 1175hp 0-60: 2.2 secs 0-100: 5.3 secs 1/4 mile: 9.8 secs top speed 240+mph
"Sir Hiss" viper: 1/4 mile: 7.8 secs
jus a few kick ass vipers that prove that they do rock!
My breakdown of engine configs:
V8, the big block brawler flat 6, the underestimated I4/I6, the imitation engine HEMI, do I even have to ask? V12, are you paying more for the engine or the name? Slant 6, THE INVINSIBLE

If you were going to prove them wrong,(them being ppl that think the viper's only meant for the straight line), you should've posted specs. like slalom or skidpad.
800tt: skidpad- 1.06g slalom- 75.5mph 60-0 braking- 110ft
Viper GTS: slalom- 72.3mph skidpad- 1.01g

Wait until the 1000TT gets on this site. That should give viper-haters a wake up call.

The reason people don't like Vipers is partially because they were meant to be a sort of "427 Cobra for the 90's" but can't handle for shit compared to a real track car like the Cobra. Don't let slalom and g times fool you, those don't give you an even remotely good understand of how the car really handles on a track. On both those tests, a stock Viper GTS outperforms a stock Porsche 911 Turbo, but on the track the Turbo would KILL it.
My favorites Datsun 240Z Nissan Skyline R33/R34 GT-R Porsche 911 Turbo Subaru Impreza WRX STi (American Spec) Lotus Elise 111R Lingfelter Corvette 427 TT Bugatti 16/4 Veyron

Actually the GTS's good slalom and skid pad caused it to kill Every other car in a motortrend comparison. Including a Porsche Turbo.
Dry Surface Maximum Lateral G(g) Dodge Viper GTS 1.01 g Ferrari F355 1.01 g Porsche 911 Turbo 1.00 g Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 0.95 g Acura NSX-T 0.94 g Toyota Supra Turbo 0.94 g Chevrolet Corvette 0.93 g
600-feet Slalom(mph) Dodge Viper GTS 73.6 Ferrari F355 72.1 Porsche 911 Turbo 69.6 Acura NSX-T 69.5 Toyota Supra Turbo 68.9 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 67.5 Chevrolet Corvette 66.2
And on the Track:
Road Course(sec.) Dodge Viper GTS 39.4 Ferarri F355 39.5 Porsche 911 Turbo 40.2 Toyota Supra Turbo 41.3 Acura NSX-T 41.5 Chevrolet Corvette 41.7 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 42.3

there is a difference between grip and handleing. a porsche turbo and elise have handleing. vipers and corvettes have grip. theoretically the viper and corvette are incredible, but getting them to do those things is near impossible. motor trend uses pro and semi pro drivers, which is a big advantage for the grippers. i noticed one r&t article where they had nsx, turbo, and z06 comparo and they used 3 dif lvl drivers. the nsx and turbo won the non pro lvl racer, but the z06 won when there was a pro behind the wheel.
ease of getting the car to its limits is just as if not more important then what the limits are, if no one can make the car do what it can theoretically can, then its pointless.
mario andretti even said the viper was a bitch to handle and that it was sloppy and all over the place.
ps i dont dislike vipers, i dislike peeps that say they handle like a dream.
Finally got my old acc back now that it has 1/2 the posts of my new one that doesnt seem to work.

The Viper has potential to be a road racer or dragster. Dodge designed the Viper for straights rather than curvers but that don't mean it can't handle well on the tracks. If you were going to take it out on the track however, I would recommened upgradeing the suspension though.
Don't keep dissn' a car if you hate it.

i'd have to agree, the car was designed for american roads, (long and straight) not to hop around the back alleys of a european fishing village. So at the end of the day it was designed to cruise along the highway not dance around.
Dream Garage:
Cerbera Speed 12 for trips to the store due to its extra luggage capacity.
R26B RX-7 for long trips due to its exceptional fuel economy.

No.
Hennessey MotorSports designed the car for both, killer acceleration, AND to go around the track.
The Venom 800tt comes with Chassis modifications:
Slotted 13-in Rotors, Wilwood six-piston calipers, and adjustable Penske coil-over shocks with Eibach springs.
All this translates into:
Skidpad: 1.06g Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft Slalom Speed: 75.1 mph

Ok, this quote has been on SVS's website for a while:
"Coming soon the unvailing of the Stryker TT RS (Twin Turbo Rocket Sled) 1700 Hp Twin Turbo V-10. In the pursuit of making the Dodge Viper the Fastest Production Vehicle on the Planet!"
I wish they'd finish that car. That quote has been giving me false hopes for a couple months now, lol.

We have had the engine built for 2 years. We have mocked it up in the Stryker TT so we can go to Bonneville again. The electronics are almost finished. We could realistically have it on the engine dyno in a couple months if $$$$$ was there. This project requires big $$$$$ with nobody supporting us. So it is taking alot longer than it should. If we could secure a sponser we would have already had it finished and be heading to Bonneville to go after 300mph. Also our priority has been to focus more on our customers projects than our own. $$$$$ is the only thing that can act as a timesaver.
Here's a link to alot of cool videos:

Would somebody on this thread put this link in a new topic in the Multimedia forum? I'll send you an SVS shirt. I'd really appreciate it.
Whomever starts the thread, send me an e-mail with your info.

Has been on the svs website for about a year, along with 3 photos of the car. If all that's true, why not post new pics. of the car? (or updates)

We will have a brand new website up and running by Aug. I will be working very hard at including everything that we have done over the past 5 years that was never updated in the old site. Including the RS status and alot of cool info on many projects.
The RS engine was mocked up in the SVS Stryker TT RWB paintjob Viper. It was then taken out and the electronics have been slowly developed around the engine. The first generation Stryker TT ws put back in. We just started seriously drag racing right before this past winter. We have wanted to get the current TT engine in the Stryker down into the 8's on boost only (No Nos) before we installed and ran the new RS TT. The currnt TT engine in the Stryker has set many records:
Bonneville - 247mph / 2001 Standing mile - 200mph / 2003 qtr mile - 9.16 @ 154mph / 2004
Same engine since bonneville. Once it goes in the 8's it will be retired.
In order to go back to bonneville and not have to go through all the license req. we have to put a different engine in the same vehicle. If we put the RS TT in a different vehicle we would have to spend all the time going through the license process. We want to show up with the RS TT in the Stryker Viper and go right to the 5 mile and start to run.
I sense that you don't believe me. It's your support that will help make it go further, faster. Questioning me on why I didn't do something or why pics aren't there now is only helping me be frustrated that their not where you would like them.
They will be there. Will you support?

Your welcome! When the new site is up I will be creating many case studies on many different aspects of what we do. The RS TT will be included.
Would you put the video link in the multimedia section for me?
