    Really nice.

I would definitely like to see a similar 930.

Along with a total interior revamp.

Imagine a black 2.8 RSR with this engine and other upgrades, that would be perfect.

As much as a I love the 993 GT2, I prefer the look of the old 911s. This is about as close to my dream car as I've seen - I think I prefer it like this rather than a ducktail.

    2010 Singer Porsche 911 -- soooo awesome

We first spotted Singer's 911 Concept in Monterey last year at the historic races at Laguna Seca. From afar, it just looked like another classic Porsche 911, but a closer look revealed much, much more. We met up with Singer and the car back in Los Angeles for a photoshoot and were astounded at the creativeness, attention to detail and absolute beauty of the car. Singer told us that they were hoping to build a production version, but with a targeted selling price of a little under $200,000, we feared that the concept might be the only one ever built.

Thankfully, as it turns out, there are at least a few wealthy car enthusiasts with a taste for a hand-built, vintage 911 with carbon fiber bodywork, custom interior and a modern Porsche flat-six power. Singer completed its first production 911 late last week and delivered to its lucky new owner at their facility in Sunland, CA with a small gathering of those who helped make the car happen.

The car is finished in Singer Racing Green with a Grow Green and Terra Cotta striping package and is heavily optioned with a 410 horsepower 3.82-liter flat-six, Brembo brake package, Bilstein coilover suspension, RSR steering wheel, Heuer chronograph clock, leatherweave seats and more. Building of the second production car will start later this month with a third beginning in October. Check both the mean green machine and the stunning orange Laguna Seca model in our high-res galleries below.

  15. #$%# so cool
must be a dog to drive though.

  16. why?

  17. Older 911s have never been exactly a walk in the park to drive.

  18. It has modern engine, brakes, suspension, etc.

    Read the article.

  19. a more powerful engine wouldnt make it easier to drive.
    neither would better brakes

    suspension work might help.

Either way the chassis and rear engine design was what made a difficult drive.

  20. Modern 911s are not so difficult to drive, and part of that is because they have modern suspension. This can offset some of the shortcomings of the chassis. The engine is likely to be more tractable/have more usable power than the stock unit and the brakes will have more feel and stopping power with less fade. All of these things will improve the driving experience. It might be a bit more tricky than a 997, for example, but I'll bet it's way less of a handful than an unmodified original.

EDIT: Why does it have to be so god damned expensive?!

  21. Modern 911s are easy to drive because the best professionals worked on the design for decades.

  22. seriously perfect

  23.
  24. haters gonna hate

  25. Nobody is hating.
