630 PS at 6,800 rpm 820 Nm from 3,800 to 4,500 rpm 3,600 ccm 175 PS/litre compression: 9.0:1 max. charged with 1.4 bar
kerb weight: 1552 kg power-to-weight: 400 PS/ton
tyres: Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 235/35 ZR 19 in front, 305/30 ZR 19 NO in rear
0-100 km/h: 3.7 s 0-160 km/h: 7.3 s 0-200 km/h: 10.9 s 0-200-0 km/h: 15.9 secs.
Vmax: 325 km/h
18m slalom: 71.5 km/h 36m slalom: 137 km/h 110m evasion test: 155 km/h wet handling: 1.33.4 mins. skid pad: 1.3 g
Nurburgring: 7.39 mins. Hockenheim short track: 1.09.9 mins.
MSRP:291.900 EUR
verdict:
the 4th fatest time at the Nurburgring
7:32 Porsche Carrera GT 7:33 Pagani Zonda F 7:34 Koenigsegg CCR 7:39 TechArt GT street (based on 997 Turbo) 7:43 TechArt GT street (based on 996 GT2)
shows the true potential of this perfect and very neutral handling super car, it is also 5 secs. faster the its predeccessor based on the 996 GT2, this thanks to the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport ytres and the AWD
also at the Hockekheim short track it shows a perfect handling and so easily breaks through the magic 1:10 bareer, again lines up with much lighter and even moee powerful
1:08.6 Porsche Carrera GT 1:09.8 Koenigsegg CCR 1:09.9 Techart GT street (based on 997 GT2) 1:10.8 Pagani Zonda F
again thanks to the AWD and the Pilot Cup Sports tyres, the TechArt GT street lines up with the best from 0-200-0 km/h, veen beats the more powerful LP640:
14.5 s Koenisegg CCR 15.0 s Porsche Carrera GT 15.8 s Mercedes SLR McLaren 15.9 s Ferrari 599 GTB Firoano 15.9 s Techart GT street (based on 997 GT2) 16.1 s Lamborghini Murcilegao LP640
perfect aerdymics with just 9 kg uplift at 200 Km/h in front and 5hg downforce in rear, thr drag coefficient of Cw 0.33 (Poreche 997 Turbo 0.29) is results from the bodykit with huge rear wing and wider front
1.3 g at the skidpad/on track, again tahnskl to the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport tyres, lets it line up with the best:
1.3 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 1.3 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 1.3 Mercedes CLK DTM AMG 1.3 Porsche 997 Turbo
at the 36m slalon ttrack it shows some oversteer, it takes an expreiened driver to control it with the throttle but it fells very safe evven when you relase the throttle suddenly, it stays on track and the rear doesn´t come over
141 km/h Porsche 997 GT3 138 km/h Koenisgegg CCR 137 km/h Pagani Zonda F 137 km/h TechSRT GT street (based on 997 GT2) 136 km/h Lamborghini Gallardo SL 136 km/h Mercedes CLK DTM AMG
same in the 110 evasion test, perfect handling and alot of grip when the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport tyres have warmed up
159 km/h Pagano Zonda F 158 km/h Koenisgegg CCR 158 km/h Porsche 997 GT3 157 km/h Porsche Carrear GT 155 km/h TechArt GT street (based on 997 GT2) 153 km/h Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 153 km/h Porsche 997 Turbo
at the wet handling track the sports suspension and lowering kit it shows some understeer and so loses about 2 secs. compared to the 997 Turbo
1:31.6 Porsche 997 Turbo 1:31.8 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 1:32.7 Corvette Z06 1:33.4 TechArt GT sreet (based on 997 GT2) 1:33.5 Koenigesegg CCR 1:34.1 Lamborghin Gallardo SL 1:34.2 Pagani Zonda F
verdict: a perfect sports car, no poser, the 630 bhp bi-tubo engine, the sports suspension and the Michlin Pilot Cup Psort tyres is perefect package offer a lot of fun, it only lacks a bit as a dialy driver and by the high price

I dont understand why sport auto complain about the price, 290k is a lot but still much less than you have to pay for a LP640 or Pagani Zonda F, both not much more better thatn the GT street on road and track, it kicks them into the ass easily

Sure it has a/the shorter gears ratio than the old 996 GT Street of SportAuto test, but nothing can do against Ruf RT12. I remember the old GT Street S with 302 km/h in Dottinger Hohe with the shorter gears ratio. Anyway this new Techart it's a great car.

The old 996 GT street S is faster in top speed points with the short gears ratio. 307 kmh compare 294 kmh of the new 997 GT Street.

Walter Roehl did 7.45 min with the 997 GT3 RS and 7.47 min with the 997 GT3. These are the official Porsche times.
